They said it was coming, and it did.
The snow blew in yesterday, first with freezing rain, and then with
the white frozen stuff.
Fortunately we didn't get nearly as much snow
as was predicted.
Places to the north and west of us weren't quite as fortunate.
The geese knew the weather had changed
and today they were outta here!
We saw thousands flying south in a variety of formations.
Some groups were much more organized
than others.
The flight patterns of the geese still make us marvel
and we wonder about things like how they know when to go
and who makes that call,
how they make their formations,
and who gets to decide who leads and who follows.
It is a mystery indeed.
