Several weeks ago The Young Africans Choir was in Steinbach.
These are young people who were once in one of the African Children's Choirs
and have now "graduated" to this older group.
The faces are still bright and full of hope.
And the smiles still spontaneous.
They talked about the many uses for these gas drums.
Of course, using them as drums is one of the best ways to use them!
The entire evening was so delightful.
These are young people who want to change and influence their world by becoming
nurses, doctors, dentists, pharmacists, engineers, teachers...
They are all deeply thankful for what they have been given
by being chosen to be a part of the African Children's Choir.
Their lives are forever changed.
At the end of the evening the chamber choir from the high school in Steinbach
stood with these amazing young people to sing
the South African national anthem.
It was a beautiful way to close a remarkable evening.
