On our final outing of the week
Ben took us to the Haitian village.
These people are refugees in the Dominican
so the foundation really went out on a limb
when they built them a village.
This building houses a small enterprise called
"H.O.P.E" - Helping Other People Eat -
of bead-making from recycled materials.
One of the workers showed us how they make
those paper beads.
She's done this a few times!
Besides the "usual" necklaces and such
they make these wacky bracelets.
I love the colours!
This is such a clean and organized village.
This little boy was showing off a bit and paid the price!
Check out the "seat" on his bike.
A beautiful playground in the center of the village.
The school in the village.
