in minsk

After a very busy 12 days in Germany
Howard boarded the plane for Minsk, Belarus.
While there he visited and encouraged colleagues and friends.
A few years ago our friend, Danny Plett, held a sold-out
concert in this Catholic cathedral.
He had a bit of time for touring the city.
This is a statue of Lenin.
This used to be a square where the Soviets held their parades -
in other words -
their shows of military strength.
Now it's just a lovely open area...
...with a beautiful shopping mall underneath.
Howard was able to visit St.Elizabeth's Convent.
Because one of his "tour guides" had a special contact in the convent,
Howard was able to see some very interesting things which
I will post next time.
